Laura is a specialist paediatric physiotherapist with a particular interest in early years (0-4yrs).
Laura trained at Cardiff University and has over 8 years of experience working as a specialist paediatric physiotherapist. During this time, she has developed a breadth of knowledge and experience in treating children of all ages (0-19 years) across acute and community settings. Her experience expands across many areas, including acute neuro rehab, respiratory, neuro disability, special schools, orthopaedics, and developmental delay. She also has experience with neuromuscular conditions, having previously worked as the specialist neuromuscular physio for SE Wales.
She has attended courses in Bobath and Maes therapy and the Elaine Owen gait and orthotics assessment course, which have been invaluable in providing recognised and evidence-based assessments and treatments within her practice.
Laura is passionate about building a good rapport with her patients, which enables her to complete effective assessments and treatments while ensuring an enjoyable experience for the child/baby. Something she feels is vital for optimal progress within sessions.
Laura loves fitness and sport. Currently, she enjoys CrossFit and triathlon. Her proudest sporting achievements have been competing for the GB softball team and, more recently, completing an Ironman
