Rebeca is dual qualified as a Doctor of Physiotherapy and Certified Athletic Trainer. After obtaining her bachelor’s degree in Sports Medicine, she spent two years treating and rehabilitating athletes. She then attended the University of Southern California, earning her Doctorate in Physiotherapy.
Upon completion of her doctorate, Rebeca became the Director of Physiotherapy for the US Men’s National (Olympic) Volleyball Team. She then gained further experience with a wide range of patients in private physiotherapy clinics in southern California. After moving to England, Rebeca worked at Physiocare for 4 years. She then spent the last 9 years as the Clinical Lead Physiotherapist at The Warr Clinic in Wokingham before returning to Physiocare.
Rebeca enjoys treating patients of all ages and abilities. She finds it fulfilling when their pain resolves, function improves, and they can return to the activities that they enjoy. For some of her patients, the goal is to return to high levels of international competition. For others, it is to return to work, participate in recreational activities, or play with their children or grandchildren.
As a Doctor of Physiotherapy, Rebeca regularly treats all areas of the body. Common reasons patients attend for treatment include:
- Neck and back pain
- Knee, foot and ankle pain
- Shoulder pain
- Sports injuries
- Jaw pain and headaches
- Vertigo
Rebeca enjoys rock climbing and runs and cycles to keep fit. Her favourite hobby is volunteering as a high ropes course instructor at Hole in the Wall Gang Camps (camps for children with chronic illnesses).
